The Barristers Committee has created a substantive listserv for CELA Regular members who are in their first 10 years of the practice of law or employment law.
If you qualify as a “Barrister” and are interested in subscribing to the Barristers Listserv, please send an email to info@cela.org, indicating “Barristers Listserv request” in the subject. Unless specifically noted, all new subscriptions will be set to receive “individual” messages.
A description of the new listserv is provided below:
The Barristers listserv is intended to provide a forum for discussion where the CELA Barristers members can limit the reach of their posts to other “Barristers.” Barristers are attorney members in their first ten years of practice of law or employment law. To join the listserv, the member must certify that the member falls within this definition. The purpose is to invite Barristers to pose and answer questions regarding practice management and cases, as well as share ideas, events, and resources that may be uniquely interesting to Barristers. The listserv also serves as a convenient place for advertising events targeted toward Barristers. There are no content guidelines or protocols separate from the existing protocols that apply to all listservs. We ask participants to use their discretion and limit cross-posting. The listserv will be monitored by volunteers from the Barristers Committee.
CELA’s current listserv protocol will apply to the new Barristers listserv. As noted, the listserv will be monitored by a group of committee volunteers and CELA staff.
